Dr. Ruocco will conduct a trial of magnetic seizure therapy (MST) with patients with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) who are suicidal. MST is an innovative brain stimulation technique that shows promise for treating suicidal thinking and behaviors. The treatment target will be the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, the brain region responsible for managing emotions and controlling impulsive behaviors.
